A diamond-encrusted skull by British artist Damien Hirst sold on
Thursday for $US100 million ($123 million), a record price for work
sold by a living artist, a London gallery announced.

The work, entitled ‘For the Love of God’, is a skull cast in platinum and
encrusted with 8,601 diamonds. Carbon dating has shown that the original
skull on which Hirst’s work is modelled dates to the 18th century.

Hirst remains best known for earlier conceptual works in which creatures
including a shark and a cow were pickled in formaldehyde inside glass tanks.

The diamond-encrusted skull was sold to an group of anonymous investors,
a spokeswoman for the White Cube gallery in London, where it has been on
display from the beginning of the summer, told AFP.

Death is one of the central themes in works completed by Hirst, 41, who once
said that the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States were like a work of art, but later apologised.

Is Chris Hansen a Cop?

A four-day sting in Texas last November led to 25 arrests and involved one death.
Louis Conradt, a local prosecutor, Perverted Justice alleges, engaged in sexual
conversations with minors online but did not show up to the decoy house, so the
police obtained a warrant for his arrest. As officers and camera crews approached
Mr. Conradt’s home in Terrell, Tex., he shot himself in the head. Last month, his sister,
disputing the Perverted Justice transcripts, filed suit against NBC, seeking $105 million
in damages. None of the men arrested in the investigation have been prosecuted.

Owen Wilson? YEAH RIGHT

Wilson was reportedly discovered by a family member
after slitting his left wrist and taking “an indeterminate
amount of pills,” according to Star Magazine.
He was then apparently taken to the hospital in serious
condition, where his wrist was sutured and bandaged,
the tabloid reported.

It’s sad and hilarious that people who stand in the way of ‘The Gay’s’ happiness are cocksuckers.

Lewd conduct: a married Idaho Republican

August 28, 2007 — WASHINGTON - Sen. Larry Craig was
arrested this summer by an undercover cop in an operation
targeting lewd conduct in an airport men’s room, it was
revealed yesterday.
Craig, a married Idaho Republican, pleaded guilty to
misdemeanor disorderly conduct after acting in a way that
the arresting police officer said was a “signal” for people
wishing to engage in “lewd conduct,” according to the arrest
report obtained by Roll Call newspaper.
The officer said he was staking out the bathroom at the
Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport after complaints about homosexual
activity.
He said Craig sat down in the adjacent stall and put his bag
against the stall door. He then tapped his right foot.
“I recognized this as a signal used by persons wishing to
engage in lewd conduct,” the officer wrote.
“The presence of others [in the bathroom] did not seem to deter
Craig as he moved his right foot so that it touched the side of my
left foot which was within my stall area,” the report states.
In a statement yesterday, Craig said, “I was not involved in any
inappropriate conduct.”
