I have been asked, and have agreed, to take an editorial role in the
aNYthing glob (http://glob.anewyorkthing.com/). I will be aiming for daily
updates, so I am casting my net among all my creative contacts for INSPIRED
AND INSPIRING CONTENT DAILY
What we intend to do is to make the glob a daily conduit for the all of the
cool, interesting, innovative and original shit that makes NYC the greatest
city in the world. I want to tap into the ART, the FASHION the MUSIC, the
LITERATURE, the CREATIVITY, the IDEAS, the ACTIVITIES, the EVENTS and the
PHONOMENA that inundate us daily.
We want the glob to be inclusive, rather than exclusive. We don’t want to be
a clique hang-out. We do want to be an essential place to discover what’s
fresh and exciting in NYC culture, for anyone and everyone who has an
interest, vested or otherwise.
This is going to be YOUR SPOT, YOUR SHOP WINDOW, YOUR PORTFOLIO, YOUR
LOOKBOOK, YOUR GALLERY, YOUR PLATFORM, YOUR SOAPBOX, soÅ
VISUAL ARTISTS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS:
If you have projects that you would like to show in this medium, I would be
delighted to see the work, and figure out the best way to show it on the
glob. If you are about to publish a book or stage a show, let me know; we
will help spread the word, and maybe send a photographer to document the
event. If you would like to shoot something editorial for the site let me
know
WRITERS, JOURNALISTS:
If you have an article you have always wanted to place, a short story or
play you want to get out there, an essay about some aspect of the city that
inspires, dismays, uplifts, angers, startles, amazes or amuses you let me
see it. If you¹d like to document or follow or explore some curious aspect
of the streets, blocks and boroughs around us tell me about it. If you need
to vent hit me up.
* We are also very proactively launching aNYthing press, as an indie
literary imprint, so make your splash on the glob and use that to platform
your book project.
MUSICIANS:
Send me your demos, mixtapes, EPs, mashups, myspace links and live photos.
We will have the ability to stream music and will link gladly. Music
industry PRs please let me know what your bands are doing‹releases, local
gigs, everything.
FILMMAKERS:
We will be streaming video, so I want to see full-length features, shorts,
documentaries skate videos, bmx videos, music videos, porn videos and video
art. NO LIMITS!!! Just send it!!!!
FASHION PEOPLE:
From designers to photographers to stylists to store owners to PRs, show me
whatcha got. Doesn¹t matter that aNYthing is a brand ‹ we want to make the
glob a focal point for ALL NYC¹s talents, and we know it¹s nice to share.
Let us know if you¹re showing, if you¹re opening a new store, if you just
shot some killer editorial or if you want to shoot something for us. We¹re
down ‹ always.
ANYONE/EVERYONE:
Please don¹t be restricted by the categories of ³creatives.² We don¹t want
limits, we want ideas and we want information. If you have anything to say
then submit it to me for consideration. Bring it all to the glob and let¹s
see if it makes sense to publish.
