Curb stomping (also known as “curbing”, “kerbie”, “headstomping”, “biting the curb”,
“smiley”, “curbjob”, “Chicago Smile”, or “Russian mouthwash”) is a violent act in
which the victim’s mouth is positioned against a curb, as if he were biting it.
The offender then uses his foot to apply a large amount of force to the back
of the victim’s head or neck. When applied to the base of the neck, the result
is a broken neck. When applied to the crown of the skull, the force is directed
toward the jaw, separating it from the skull.
